All the activities of the trust shall be carried out with a view to benefit the public at large, without any profit motive as public charitable trust and by abiding provisions of Maharashtra Public Trust Act, 1950, having registration number E-7284/Pune dated 9/10/2015.

FIR is a national level platform where researchers with both fundamental and applied research interests in different disciplines can come together and help each other to understand the interdisciplinary impacts and change assessment.

  • To establish an interdisciplinary research platform to facilitate Indian researchers from varied disciplines in achieving success.
  • To collect resources (including human resource, skill training, equipment, materials, financial resources and infrastructural facilities) what so ever required under interdisciplinary environment beyond definition to compete international market of discovery, invention and innovation.
  • To provide the platform for generation and maintenance of Intellectual property.
  • To support researcher-entrepreneur joint ventures with industries for logical conclusions including contract research facilitation.
  • To take seminars, workshop for promotion of interdisciplinary research, give training to students. And also create a foundation/ platform for the students, scholarship holders, junior scientist etc. for their research. Give scholarships to deserving candidates by way of cash and/or kinds.
  • To establish an Institution, incubation facility, educational set up for Interdisciplinary research and to provide knowledge based consultancy and advisory services.
